A personal beginning.
Coconut Loka is born by creating and presenting an recipe rooted in family tradition and refined over eight years.
What began as a personal pursuit of clean, trustworthy ingredients grew into something greater, a desire to share this light, rich, mousse like custard coconut dessert with everyone.
Made in Melbourne, with ingredients sourced from rainforest across the ocean and the pastures of Victoria, Coconut Loka exists at the intersection of ancient craft and modern intention.
Spiced Coconut Custard
Every element of Coconut Loka is considered. At the heart of every cup sits unrefined nectar drawn from palm trees deep in tropical rainforest highlands of Sri Lanka, hand harvested by traditional craftspeople practising an art that is over 2,000 years old. Slow cooked over open wood fires in small village batches, it carries a deep smoky butterscotch complexity that nothing commercially produced could ever replicate.
Many companies cut costs by blending refined cane or water into their nectar or adding preservatives to extend shelf life. Ours contains nothing but pure palm nectar, exactly as it has always been.
The spices are ground fresh at the time of making. The eggs come from pasture raised Victorian hens. Nothing unnecessary to reach an healthy pure dessert.

This blend is not premixed or sitting on a shelf for months.

Our eggs come from pasture raised hens right here in Victoria freely roaming on hectares and humanely raised.
